These shoes are wonderful. My 2.5 year old has the size 7 and she loves to run around and watch them light up.I love that the toe is covered so she can ride her balance bike and not tear the shoes up when she drags her feet! That means we can probably keep them as hand-me-downs.However, my daughter cannot put them on by herself because they are too narrow and require some help. She can put her other sneakers on by herself. I expected Stride Rite to be wider, as most of our shoes are Stride Rite and fit just fine. My daughter does report that her feet hurt after wearing these for awhile. They are the correct size from front-to-back, but they are simply too narrow.My daughter and I both love these shoes. She is measuring at a size 6.5 so I ordered a size 7. Fit great, she doesn't complain that they are too tight like she does other shoes. The light up fiction works easily. Just a tap and the lights starts blinking. For he first few days, she pointed out the lights and laughed. But the novelty wore off.My only complaint is that the soles are really stiff. Stride rite soles are usually more flexible.Hard to feel toes through the tops because of the hard plastic where the lights are. We've had them for a month and the silver is flaking in the tongue. But, they are super cute and my 20 month old loves them.Great shoes and made with great material that will last. Yes, these shoes run a bit narrow AT FIRST but let your child break them in for a couple days and from my experience with this shoe it should stretch out and widen out to your child's foot width.My daughter loves these shoes. She wears them all day and play with them as well. Arch support is good however, it is not really as flexible as I expected comparing from other stride rite shoes. Although price is very reasonable enough and most important thing it lights up with glittery stuff.My daughter has been wearing these over a year now and they are still going. Some of the lights don't work all the time, but they have been good and sturdy. I bought them a little big to get more wear time out of them. She's now outgrowing and it's time for something new. Great value and wear for a busy active toddler who loves princess light up shoes.Great shoe for the price. My daughter loves to go on a 2 mile walk to our neighborhood park. Stride rite is usually a very good quality shoe, but this one peeled within three wears. My daughter is 7 and isn't rough with her shoes. The sparkle in the tongue has peeled off one shoe completely and started on the other. I'm hoping it doesn't peel off the entire shoe.My 5 year old girl loves the pair. Light s r red and pretty bright at nite...feels safe when we walk in the rain or dark.As expected
