These shoes are wonderful. My 2.5 year old has the size 7 and she loves to run around and watch them light up.I love that the toe is covered so she can ride her balance bike and not tear the shoes up when she drags her feet! That means we can probably keep them as hand-me-downs.However, my daughter cannot put them on by herself because they are too narrow and require some help. She can put her other sneakers on by herself. I expected Stride Rite to be wider, as most of our shoes are Stride Rite and fit just fine. My daughter does report that her feet hurt after wearing these for awhile. They are the correct size from front-to-back, but they are simply too narrow.
